Re-tread Chan Gailey.  Really Buffalo?

  • Bills prove there are equally horrible management and owners out there as the Bungles with choice of Chan Gailey…
  • Buffalo would have been better off with Perry Fewell, Oh and by the way, didn’t he kind of fit into that Rooney Rule garbage too???
  • I wonder if Gailey will make it past the pre-season for Bills, after all he didn’t last but 5-weeks with KC as offensive coordinator this year.

Wow, Buffalo sucks.  They made a very Bungle like move today and named re-tread Chan Gailey head coach.  Let’s see, how to make a real impact after firing re-tread and proven loser as a head coach Dick Jauron whom they fired in November?  Hmmmmm…hire another re-tread!!!

The Bills managed to pull old Chan off the scrap heap and out of no where after he had previously been mostly unemployed because of issues with sucking.  http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_ylt=AiMRDQ.xLKlroW4TTT1X8Ok5nYcB?slug=ap-billscoach&prov=ap&type=lgns.  He failed as head coach in Dallas, at Georgia Tech and most recently he got canned by the Kansas City Chiefs 5-weeks into the season where he’d been offensive coordinator.  Sure, he’s been successful in that position in Pittsburgh and Dallas, but he was fired by the Chefs!!!

This was a move most Bungle like.  Well, it goes to show you that both Ralph Wilson and Mikey Boy Brown are birds of a feather.  Of course, Mikey Boy Brown is a Do-Do bird who doesn’t have a General Manager where Ralph Wilson does.  However, when you have a guy that makes Chan Gailey his first hire and it’s for Head Coach?  You have to start wondering what’s up with that.

The Bills played harder under interim coach Perry Fewell who had been Buffalo’s defensive coordinator.  They would have been better off having stuck with him instead of showing him and the rest of the staff the door at seasons end.  Fewell is now the New York Giants Defensive Coordinator, signing on with the G-men just last week.

Oh yeah, and I’m not so sure that the Bills complied with that silly “Rooney Rule” which is basically a postage stamp the NFL likes to put over affirmative action.  Only, in the NFL their affirmative action is all window dressing and no real action most of the time.  It’s a stupid rule, mostly because NFL teams just abuse it and the coaches they interview and it’s silly.  Fewell, a black man, was not interviewed for the job to my recollection.

Back to Gailey: is he really any kind of improvement?  Does he fire up the fan base that is already pissed and not buying seats for the first time in a generation up in small, depressed B-Lo?  The answer is clearly no.  The Bills don’t get it, just like all other crap-tastic teams.
