#4. New York Jets select D’Brickashaw Ferguson as Leinart’s free-fall begins

OT-D’Brickashaw Ferguson–Virginia–6’5 1/2 312lbs.

Athletic, good feet and the best offensive lineman at the top of the draft board in some time, Ferguson is a smart pick (something the Jets are not always accustomed to) and will be a rock solid addition to the team in 2006.   He isn’t HUGE and that may be a good thing considering some linemen can get too big (see Robert Gallery who is now a Guard).

This is a solid pick for the Jets as mentioned.   They pick again at #29 (acquired from the Broncose in the Abraham trade) and then again at pick #36.   They are in shape to have 3 good picks in short order.

This pick makes a lot of sense! I’m not sold on Leinart. Then again, I wasn’t quite sold on Carson, but in Marvin I Trust!!!!
